Government of Georgia and Georgian Chess Federation holds European Youth Chess Championships 2010 under 8 - 18,
which will take place in Batumi, Georgia (Black Seaside), between September the 19th (arrival day) and September
the 29th departure day)
The EU, Turkey, Israel, former SU and most European countries citizens do not
need Georgian visa. They will get free of charge stamps in Tbilisi or Batumi airport. The citizens of Russia,
Serbia, Macedonia and Bosnia will get Georgian visa easily in Tbilisi or in Batumi Airport.
The cost of visa is about 23 Euro.
There is one direct flight every day from Istambul to Batumi. If you can not
manage to catch this flight, do not hesitate to take another : Istambul - Trabzon. Modern buses will take you
from Trabzon to Batumi with no delay on the border, maximum in 2 hours. Take into account the fact, that the cost
of round air-ticket from European countries to Trabzon is about 300 - 400 Euro.
For Russian citizens - One of the recommended ways to Batumi is flight Moscow – Kiev – Kutaisi (120 km from Batumi) and return flight Batumi – Kiev – Moscow. If the tickets is ordered now, price of both ways flight is 280 Euro.
If there is a demand on flight from Tbilisi to Batumi, the Organizing Committee will arrange round charter flight. Air Batumi’s Boeing – 737 will take you in Batumi in 35 minutes. Price of two ways ticket will be about 100 Euro.

The championship will take place in newly renovated Batumi modern chess
